These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, govern your access to and use of StatRead (the "Service"). The Service is operated under the registered Australian business name STATREAD (ABN 21 902 135 001) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using StatRead, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.
StatRead provides statistical modelling, predictions, and historical data analysis for AFL and NRL matches, players, and teams. StatRead is a statistical analysis product only. It is not betting advice. We are not a bookmaker or wagering operator: we do not accept, place, or facilitate bets or wagers of any kind, and nothing in the Service is a recommendation, inducement, or tip to bet. Any decisions you make based on information shown in StatRead — including any betting decisions made with third parties — are made entirely at your own discretion and risk.
The Service is intended for people aged 18 years or older. You must be at least 18 to create an account or purchase a subscription, and by using StatRead you confirm that you are.
Sport is unpredictable and no statistic or probability makes an outcome certain. If you choose to gamble and it stops being fun, free and confidential support is available 24/7 from Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858. See our Responsible Gambling page for more resources, including the national BetStop self-exclusion register.
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know immediately at support@statread.com.au if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. We may suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect the Service or its users.
You agree not to:
StatRead's predictions and statistics are generated from historical data and statistical models. They are estimates, not certainties, and sport is inherently unpredictable. Past performance — of teams, players, or our models — is not a reliable indicator of future results. While we work hard to keep the Service accurate, information may occasionally contain errors or become outdated, and we may correct or update it at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law (and subject to section 11), we make no guarantee that any prediction, probability, or statistic will be accurate, and we accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on information shown in the Service.
We aim to keep StatRead available and up to date during the season, but we don't promise uninterrupted access. The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or events outside our reasonable control, and data for a given round may arrive on a delay. We may add, change, or remove features of the Service as the product evolves. If we permanently discontinue a paid feature that was core to your plan, section 5 (cancellation) and section 11 (your consumer rights) apply.
The Service may link to third-party websites or draw on data supplied by third parties. We don't control third-party sites and aren't responsible for their content, policies, or practices. A link is not an endorsement. Your dealings with any third party — including any wagering operator — are solely between you and them.
StatRead, its models, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable licence to use the Service — it doesn't transfer ownership of any StatRead intellectual property to you, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010(Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our Service fails to meet a consumer guarantee that can't be excluded, you're entitled to the remedies the law provides, in addition to anything else in these terms.
Subject to section 11 and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms. You may stop using StatRead and cancel your subscription at any time as described in section 5. On termination, your licence to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including sections 7, 10, 11, and 12) continue to apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You and we each submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts in connection with any dispute arising out of these terms or the Service.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and where reasonably practicable we'll let you know. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
